N scale point to point reversing track set

HI need help on new purchase. Assembled  track according to instructions ran continuity check on track-all checked ok. But trolley will only go one direction- will not reverse.    Chuck J

The most common cause of that I have found is having one of the "gapped" pieces of track out of place or turned around. I have an HO set but I'm sure it would be the same type of electronics.
