Annie lamp voltage?

What is the voltage rating of the LEDs in the 5th gen Annie?

Hi Danimal,

Cant remember but there is a resistor in the circuits to both the front and back headlights, so any comparable size warm white Led should work fine.

I think I asked the question wrong.  What is the voltage of the circuit?  Rectified 5v, 12v, 18v, connected straight to track power, etc..?

Danimal,

Well I can't really help with that, but perhaps one of our electronics knowledgeable members will chime in with a proper answer.

Please note: LEDs run on current, not voltage.

There is a "current limiting" resistor inline with the LED, and it's value is calculated such that the resistor limits the current to a safe level.

I believe the resistors in the Big Hauler/Annie are from track voltage, and probably are nominal for 18-20 volts.

Not having a schematic, you would check this out with a meter.
