Hi. I am new to the hobby and would like to find out how best to light my lionel house, water tower, and 2 beam light tower with my 6607 transformer. I am not sure what the wattage of the bulbs are in each. Should I use the DC track which has 17 volts or the AC accessory which has 20? I am not using this transformer to run any trains, just lights/accessories. I tried it once and it lights for a period of time and then cuts off. Do I need to keep it super dim with the rheostat? I appreciate any assistance with this. Thanks. Rick

If the lights are cutting out, it's because you have enough lights pulling current to exceed the transformers rating. You'd probably be better off using a 16VAC wall-wart type transformer rated 1 amp or better for the lights.

If at first you don't succeed, throw it in the spare parts box.
