Even with the 24" minimum radius recommended overhang can be a problem. They look better on 36" radius, or larger.

Someone gave me one of those many years ago. I didn't have a layout at the time so it stayed in a furniture drawer. Where it burned up in a fire a few years later, never even made it out of the box.

The early twin motor version had some power. Before they had to move to a smaller location, a local club would use one to pull 120 car coal drags on a regular basis to impress visitors. The main problem was 'string lining' if someone stuck a light car in the middle of the drag.

Not my kind of layout. 

What really gets my attention is a Russian decapod pulling a 7 or 8 car train of outside braced wood boxcars and gondolas, a couple of 36' UTLX tank cars, and a wood side door caboose, all at 15 mph on weedgrown 60 lb. rail. You don't need a spare warehouse to do a good layout in that format.
