I have a Bachmann ES44AC Southern 8099. I have a replacement truck but I cannot figure out how to get the old one out. I have removed the shell but I have not figured out how to get the truck loose from the drive and off the frame.
Help is greatly appreciated.

A photo would help. It’s probably the same as Athearn.

Here are photos. One shows the top view of the current truck still in the frame and the truck to be used to replace it. The other shows a side view.

It looks lik an Athearn part might work. Try finding Athearn truck removal instructions, maybe on YouTube.

In looking at Bachmann's product reference page for yours, it looks like you would just pry off the cap like the guy did on the Athearn one.

Thanks for all those that provided help.
I was able to get the truck replaced and the loco seems to be working good.
