Can the E-Z app option be disabled to allow installation of a DCC sound decoder?

The E-Z App board is a Bluetooth control board. To use DCC sound decoder requires replacing the E-Z App board.

Great Question, my grandson wants to stop using EZ App and switch to EZ Command. He found that EZ App restricts his uses with his friends or when visiting my DCC set-up. Sounds like the EZ App was not engineered into a decoder 8pin or 21pin decoder swap-out. Poor design means its a locked into EZ App control function. He is young and doesn't have the skills for PCB board micro soldering. Glad he found the issues with EZ App before investing too much into that isolated operating system.
