How 'bout a small inside frame 2-8-0 ?

A small 2-8-0 from the Baldwin catalog pages would be nice:

The picture is from:

The Class 10-18E could be built from available tooling and give
Bachmann a reason to redo the 2-6-0 tender for sound. The loco could
look something like this:

They have all the parts and the 4-4-0 drivers are 33".

Just a thought

Yes. Not a bad idea.

In the Narrow gauge and short line gazette Sept/Oct 2006 issue, there are drawings for Quincy & Torch Lake #5. To me it looks like the body of the Bachmann 2-8-0 and the chassis of a BLI C-16. Anyone up for a Bash?

Although a new retooled 2-6-0 or 2-8-0 with the same body would be very nice. But that would be my 3rd 2-8-0...

Somthing differnt prahaps? Who knows?

FWIW, one could come kinda close to that Baldwin stock engine by mating the superstructure from the On30 2-8-0 to the Spectrum HO 2-8-0 mech.

I just ordered another 2-6-0 and an HO 2-8-0 w/ DCC just for this purpose.

Here's what I came up with using an On30 OR&W 2-6-0 and an HO 2-8-0 chassis...

Nice looking conversion of the 2-6-0 to an IF 2-8-0.  Have to wonder
what all the boilerless 2-6-0s will end up as. I have a conversion in mind for  a couple of the 2-6-0s, so may convert a couple of 2-8-0 or 2-8-2, like
I need more power<G>.

I want one!  ;D

I wonder if you could convert the sound HO 2-8-0 into one using all the electronics from it.
