Bach-man,

When will Bachmann be issuing installation instructions for the various decoders? (Airwire, RCS, etc.)  I will be using battery power.  Sure would like to know how to make the various functions operate, i.e. lights, smoke
Thanks ???

Perhaps a fine point:

The term "decoders" implies the use of DCC.

The examples you cite are radio control (R/C) systems. The locomotive based boards would be termed "receivers" and / or "electronic speed controls" (ECS).

The boards used in each of these two systems (DCC vs R/C) are significantly different from each other and in general require somewhat different approaches.

Tony Walsham at RCS has published instructions for easy K-27 installs of his R/C equipment in several places. Try looking at My Large Scale or Large Scale Central. You can also email Tony direct through the RCS site.
