I want to run a reverse loop section on my layout. I am using EZ Track - where do I place it in relation to the other track to get the desire effect?

RAM

The insulated gaps would go at each end of the reserving section.  You will need to gap both rails at each end.

Make sure you have a DPDT switches connected to the loop and the mainline.

The most sensible place to put the insulators is right at the switch, once the engine clears the switch you know it is safe, an 1/8 inch mistake going by phonepoles, judging a post etc, can make smoke you don't want to see. Dave's mention of a double pull double thro- mine are old Dr. Frankenstien looking things, but they make a short impossible, it would be a fool proof polarity swap. I since got a couple el cheapo transformers, marked arrows on them, and the possible speed difference is the only break in routine, while it's in the loop, you switch directions on the main's throttle, hey, it's dumb, but it works, an extra $5.....less than a new dpdt. You have been missing for a while, take any new pictures?
