I'd like to make a 2-8-2T for my logging railroad. Does anyone know how to make and instal a trailing truck for a 2-8-0? And are there any sites of how-to's for that?

Thanks

Much depends on which loco you're starting from. Try this site to start. http://www.gtrains.co.uk/  It's Rod Hayward's, and he took a 2-8-0 (connie) and converted it to a 1:22 K-27. While details on how Rod added the trailing truck to turn his B'mann 2-8-0 into a 2-8-2, the photos may give some insight. He also hangs out at both MyLargeScale and Large Scale Central, and he's quite receptive to answering questions.

More than just sticking a trailing truck under the cab--the rear of the loco needs to be extended--the trailing axle should be about beyond the rear of the cab.  gj
