Does anyone know of a hobby shop that repairs or sells Bachmann train partsvso I can repair some of my older engines.  I am in the Chicago area.

There are numerous model train shows in your area.  You might be better off scouting for additional locos to use for parts.  Keep an eye out for boxes of parts on and under the tables that folks are trying to get rid of.  You might find just the parts you're looking for (and then some)

There are many shops in the Chicagoland area. Try the yellow pages and call..OR..go to the retailer page Bachmann provides as listed on the home page..OR..try the magazines and search for a source..OR..try one of your local train clubs.

If all else fails, don't repair the item.
