Dudes.. Tell me about Graese ?

Need to know what the best grease to grease the loco gear boxes with . it doesn't have to be the absoultly best .We use to use Vaseline back in the 60 's   Sloan

Be sure it's plastic compatible.  I use a small drop of Labelle #106.

I also use La Belle 106 grease with Teflon. A drop or two at the most. A lot of grease is not needed.

I use lithium grease. A little blob will do you.

A great grease for MR gears is the valve grease thats sold in Swimming Pool supply stores. It's plastic compatible, with stands heat, doesn't break down due to heat wear or water, non toxic, clear in color and the best is the price about $2 per 5 ounce tube.  I use on my garden railway.

I prefer E-Z lube. But I'm not sure that counts as a grease.

Then dig it!
I would use light grease on small parts, but thicker on the gears.
