I have JMRI DeCoder Pro loaded on my Mac laptcop to use for programming and such.  The computer is connected to the programming track via RR Cirkits - LocoBuffer USB.  It starts to set up correctly, but then for connection choices I get two "Bluetooth PDA" and two Bluetooth Modem."  The guy who has been helping me try to set this up has no idea.
Any suggestions?
At the extreme, what would be the minimum Windows laptop I would have to get to make the program(s) work?

I don't have a clue as to why your Decoder Pro thinks it's looking
at a bluetooth port.  Does your MAC OS have a setup area like Windows
control panel?  If so you may be able to change the port identity so that
Decoder Pro will recognize it.

As for the laptop, anything running windows 98 or above, or Linux
will do the job.  I use an Acer travelmate with XP 40g Hd 512k ram.

Yes it does.  That might be a solution. Thanks for the suggestion.

I just did some research on Locobuffer usb, and Decoder Pro.

The locobuffer comes with a CD of drivers.  You didn't by chance
forget to install the drivers,,,,,,, did you.

No - but I'm thinking of uninstalling and re-installing.  That's a classic treatment.
