Does digitrax make a video telling how to use the starter sets

Not to my knowledge.  Their manuals are comprehensive although poorly cross-indexed.  My advice - as you find the answers to your questions, make copious notes including where you found the answer(s) in the manuals.
Growing older is mandatory but growing up is optional.
