According to a message I received through a steam locomotive group, NWSL is still in business with new owners.  It sounds good.

Yes, that has been discussed a few times the past month or two on different groups. On a Yahoo Group, the owner introduced himself as the group has been discussing the HO Bachmann Shay cracked gears. Someone volunteered their Shay to NWSL to research the possibility of new gears. No promises yet. I would rather not copy and paste his message. You can join and look.
The NWSL URL is still active.

Thanks for the link Rich.

Recently someone posted a link to another site that had motors and drive shaft assemblies for repowering, but I lost it.  Does anyone still have the link?

Thanks

Hi Bob

Do you remember what company sold these items?

Here is a copy of the letter from Dave at NWSL. He gave people permission to post it. I post it here for those who have the Spectrum Shay.

Maybe if more people contact Dave about the Shay gears, we might see some results. Dave has been told the Spectrum On30 has the same issue.

I finally found the site, it's "Hollywood Foundry" based in Australia.

Gene, hope you don't mind an off topic link.  Cool
