I will try to do something about some pictures.

For ponds I use Deco Art Dura Clear varnish in gloss . An 8 oz jar is about $8.00 The technique I used was to paint in the colours for the bottom and then pour in three coats . It thickens gradually so you can scribe in ripples if you wish.
