Rich recently posted photos of DCC waveforms but was unable to capture the zero stretching that makes it possible to run dc locomotives on DCC.  Nor was I until recently given a storage oscilloscope which is capable of capturing the signal and displaying a single, non-repetitive view of it.  I have put together a simple web page on the Saskatoon Railroad Modellers website which can be reached by clicking on the link below:

Hi JIm

Nice addition to your site. I tried to do that with my Tek 475 but was not successful so I just used the photo of the Velleman. No storage capability in either Scope. I know this is quite technical for many people but some people will want to know.

Just found the below link which also shows the zero bit technique. This is what I have been looking for.

Jim,
Your presentation is superb, as usual. Thanks for taking time to produce the page.

I believe anyone involved with DCC should have a basic grasp of zero stretching. They may not remember the theory, but the pictures will be in their minds.

Thanks also to Rich for the excellent link.
