I just picked up a Bachmann in a FT box, but what was inside was a F7B unit with DC only Installed. How long ago ws this product produced as all I can find in the 2008 AND 2009 CATALOGS ARE FT UNITS.

I'm sorry to say, but they only have them available online as A and B units together. The good new is, they're Spectrum.

Here's and example:

You just have to go the the HO scale Products section. Click on the "Motive Power" folder. Go to the search box. Type in "F7". The first products that are listed should be EMD F7 A-B units.

Sorry about this, you might find one at a local shop that's been in business for a bit.

Hey, nothing matters, tons of F7B units were used a bit more longer than the Alpha twins as booster units behind mid-Geeps.

At 0:44, notice the F7 units. The SOO Line is just an example.

I found the "N" scale units, but what a grabbed today is a "HO" scale F7 B unit in NYC colors, I have already stripped it and am getting ready to match it to my Southern Pacific MRC and Athearn units, was just wondering when Bachmann made it in HO - sure looks good with my other F7 units

The HO F7's seem to go back to the Bachmann Plus line. This was the top line before Spectrum.
