Proper loco direction

Someone mentioned locos on DC layouts the do not all go forward when forward has been selected on the power pack. Below is a link to NMRA wiring standards that you should put in your Favorites folder.

If you do not have a multimeter, get one. Yampa Bob has mentioned sources for inexpensive multimeter's that no model railroader should be without.

I might add that the specific section for DC operation is S-9 Electrical, paragraph II A, including notation (3) at the bottom which defines "right hand rule".

  Well my connie won't run and a multi meter would absolutely not help no matter how I hooked it up. I'm having a gear mesh problem

Sounds like a personal problem.....   Sorry, I couldn't resist it. 

I thought you fixed that problem when you found the brass bearings?  It's off topic, so please write me (again) about it.
