Can anyone tell me what the purpose is of the large female phone plug is on the EZ Controller?  Is it a way to connect it to a computer?

I/O port is used with
E-Z Command Walk-Around Companion, Item no. 44907
E-Z Command Walk-Around Companion Connector Pane, Item no. 44908

I/O port is not for computer connection
