For those of you that use Ni/Silver E-Z track.  Do you paint the plastic base?
If so, what paint do you use?  Do you ballast the track?  If so, what product
do you use?  Thanks

whm2255,

My whole layout is ns eztrack, and I'm in the process of ballasting it.  Once the ballast is on, it looks as good as any other track.  Putting ballast on ez track isn't any different than atlas.  With atlas track you have the cork road bed and the track.  With eztrack you have plastic roadbed and track.  I use woodland scenics ballast, that way I know its the right size, and scenic cement.  Turns out nice, just take your time.

I will take some pictures of it an post them within the next couple of days.  Since I'm on here mostly at work (3pm to 11pm) I don't have access at this moment.

This is part of the worlds greatest hobby dvd. It show how to put down the ground cover around EZ Track.

Good luck. This part is alot of fun and really makes a difference in how your layout looks.
