Hi, I work with a nonprofit and we were recently left a "seemingly old" Bachmann Electric Train Set.  It has two NW engines #s 8824 and 8825, 5 cars and a caboose.

How do I know how much it is worth/and or what to do with it?  The part number on the box is AF 33-7834-2.  No date or other title that I could find.

Thanks for your help!

unopened? Well... i go on eBay and i say that you might make a good lot of money but its not really like you have a say, So you have a better chance of doing research and try your best to find a good owner that will pay you a fair amount. Also you can have it for yourself! ;) You don't have to sell it! :D Do what you want to do. I would say in my opinion is to keep it and enjoy it! :D

Unfortunately, unlike Lionel or American Flyer, Bachmann train sets are generally worth very little. You might get around $30 at most. Still, you might be lucky and get more, but don't count on it.

Personally, I agree with Jettrainfan. It would probably be better to keep it and enjoy it.

Hi Kris
If you are selling for your organization, suggest putting a $50 price tag on the set, with a note "As is, no warranty". If someone offers $30, take the money.
