I ran across this site while searching for emblems for "Jet Train Fan". He has a tight deadline for a school assignment.

I remember having some of these, but not being interested in trains at that time they probably were discarded.

For other logos, do a Google Search for (example) Soo Line Railroad Wikipedia, etc.  See how many you can collect.

Regards.

I posted this in jettrainfan's topic.

$3.00 a magnet would make a nice collection.

Go here https://www.walthers.com/exec/search?manu=234&split=300 and check out Phil Derrig Designs.

Rick,

Thanks for the link, I now have 93 emblems collected. Don't know what I will do with them, but they make a nice collection.  :D

Of course Union Pacific is my favorite.  8)

Union Pacific?  I would have never guessed!

Mine is:

  RAILROAD CROSSING
LOOK OUT FOR THE CARS
    Can You Spell That
     Without Any "Rs"?

My Pa taught me this one.

Anyone remember when railroad emblems used to come in cereal boxes? In the 50's maybe?

Are you kidding? My first Lionel train was a Quaker Oats promotion. Send in $6.00, and two Quaker Oates oatmeal seals, and you got a Lionel  train set. I still have it.

Jet train ~ I watched you video, and now I'm a fan too.

If my memory is correct these came in boxes of what was then marketed as Sugar Crisps. We used to trade these like baseball cards. This was common around 1955/56.

And yes, Bob, I did collect both a C&O and B&O-yet I was very happy to have captured my shield and AT&SF white on blue square.

I have emblems for B&M and MEC, they are on the Walther's page linked above by Rick.

I don't know many of the eastern railroad names, but I'm open for suggestions and will search for the emblems. (or you can and post a link)

It's no big deal, been raining for 6 days straight and I'm bored.  8)
