EMD F9 Diesel

I purchased a EMD F9 Diesel at a garage sale.  But I  can't find any information about the train.  Can you tell me what year it was made?  Does it have any value other than the $1.50 I paid for it?  On the bottom of each piece it's stamped Bachmann China.  The name on the box is Bachmann HO electric train set continental express.  Thank you for your help, Horder

If you link a picture on photobucket or a similar site and give me more information I can give more specific info, but I would guess your loco is from the late 80's or early 90's by the name of the train set. The loco in mint and running condition is worth $5 or so.
