The Heritage Village Collection - HO Scale

I just recently purchased a used Dept 56 Heritage Village Collection to use with my Christmas Village.  It only came with the information sheet.  Does anyone have a instruction book they could share?  The instruction sheet says American 4-4-0 Steam Locomotive.  Is there a way to make this engine have steam?  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, that is the set.... Was just wondering about it being steam..... If no instructions came with it that is okay.  Thanks for the other information!
