Question on Auto-Reversing Track

Greetings all, Newbie here.

I have a question about the E-Z Track auto-reversing system (#44547) that I am considering purchasing. I have not been able to locate the instruction manual online.  I noticed that the package includes 2 pieces of regular 9-inch straight E-Z Track. Is there a specific operational reason why those 2 pieces are included?  Are the two tracks used to balance off each end of the line?  Or can other standard E-Z Track pieces be used also? My reason for asking is that I would love to run a shuttle system with my 85-foot Bi-Level Commuter Cars but the provided 18-inch auto-reversing curves are two tight as the passenger cars require a 22-inch radius. I need to know if the standard 22-inch curves (#44503) would work with the auto-reversing system or not.

Thanks.

Dear M,
The straight pieces are included to leave room for cars at the end of the line.
If you use 22" radius you'll have to connect the end with wire soldered to the ontacts.
Have fun!
