Extension wire

I need an extension wire for my Bachmann auto reverse controller between the track and controller.
Does Bachmann make these? I couldn't find any listed.
If not, any ideas besides cutting and splicing more wire into the existing wire coming from the terminal track section?
I cringe at the thought of trying to do that. There appear to be 4 wires within that black wire.

Will this work? This is from Walmart. I don't know the mm of the Bachmann plug. I guess it's some sort of standard plug.

 I had Walmart order the extension wire and I picked it up today. I just tried it out and it works. Now I have an extra 6 1/2 feet of wire so I can locate the track farther away from the controller.
I'm using it with the Bachmann HO Point to Point Reversing Track Set.
The wire is Startech  "2m 3.5mm 4 Position Headset Extension Cable - M/F".  The part number is MUHSMF2M
