Keep Alive DC Negative Point

I ordered a Keep Alive for my 70 Tonner.  Can someone tell me the best connection point to get a good negative DC connection?

I did some poking around but I'm not sure I found the right spot as I was getting around 12.4v.  Our track is 14v DCC. The point I found was only alive when the loco was in the forward direction.

Also I can't figure how to insert a photo into this message.

I could not find your link.
I see 13.6 vac with my multi meter on the rails my NCE power Cab and about 12.4 vdc on my decoders some years ago.
You need a photo editing site like Photo Bucket. Look below in another forum for instructions. Many miss this. It should be in General Questions. The only way.
Some might say ground side but there is no ground in a decoder. I see that every so often.
Usually the minus side of the filter capacitor at the full wave bridge capacitor and cut the caps of off at motor. Mine had three caps. The cap is usually quite large and stands out. It is a Tantalum capacitor. There "might" be two around the bridge but it will be the largest.
Look at the below link also. This guy has been into stay alive for some time.. With an ohm meter you can find another point if good at trouble shooting.

I converted mine to a LokSound v3.5 Micro about maybe ten years ago.

I just received my KA4 Keep-Alive and need some help locating a good DC negitive on the 70 TON Bachmann board.  Also I recall seeing a YouTube of someone cutting off the three suppressors that are soldered to the motor while installing a Keep-Alive.  Do you recommend I remove them?

The link did not work.

Cut the three caps on the motor. I cut mine off. They can affect BEMF at slow speeds. Many in different forums have mentioned this.
