Just purchased a new 25476 and I am having trouble with the rear truck it keeps derailing on curves only.  Cant see any interference problem has anyone had this problem? could it possibly be hitting the coupler box?

Thanks jestor, I'am using 18"" R.  Could that be the problem?

According to the OGR review, it handled 18" OK, but 22" is recommended due to how the rear end haughs out in curves.  I would look for something on the bottom of the fuel bunker that the truck might be hanging up on.

Hi Steve, the Forney can also be pulled off the track when pulling shorter freight cars.  I seem to recall that mine would do OK on 18" curves pulling something long, like a Bachmann passenger car, but shorter cars like the freight cars would cause the Forney to derail.  I  believe that 22" radius curves are recommended.

Thanks for the help I will try 22" radius.

Does it derail if you run fuel bunker forward(backwards)? Some Forneys were operated this way. If operated in this manner, perhaps you might not have a problem using 18".
