Large / switches

Dear Bach-Man,

Now that Bachmann has solid rail brass track just wondering if switches might be in the works as well?
If so, hopefully something better than that 4ft diameter (2ft radius) stuff that most of your large scale stuff will not go around.

Thanks!

I would agree with that.  The ventilated boxcars, refeers and camp cars would be nice.
The camp cars should be easy enough to manuver also into work train bunk cars.
Now if Bachmann would consider a Spectrum ditcher.....

Certainly within the aforementioned AMS cars but the question is, is there really room for that?  I think Bachmann has done a wonderful job on its large scale line and Spectrum 1:20.3 passenger cars would certainly be hard even for the other company to beat.

The only thing that I could see would be to move from Jackson and Sharp to something a little different, perhaps Carter Brothers or other builder.

Instead what I would suggest would be to do a Spectrum quality drovers caboose.  In 1:20.3 scale there is nothing available.  It could even be something like the Pacific Coast caboose that is now residing on a full scale trestle at the Sacramento rail museum.  Generic enough to fit with almost anything.

Personally,

A AH&D ditcher or crane (or interchable parts) would fit the logging theme as well as a host of other narrow guage and even some standard guage (though at 1:20.3 it would oversize for standard gauge).

After seeing the magnificent RGS/D&RG caboose, I still cannot help but wonder about the Pacific Coast Ry caboose in 1:20.3, beautiful genericly looking side door job that still exists.

A redo of the Heisler might be interesting and possibly as a three truck model.

Another run of the 2-6-6-2T as a 2-6-6-2 with tender especially a Weyerhauser or Rayonir style tank tender.
