Paul, since Kader made them when Aristo sold them, and Kader makes them now that Bachmann sells them, I would make an educated guess that their "policy" on making parts is the same (with the smaller market, I doubt it has gotten "better" for "us".

In Aristo times, spare parts that were not "consumables" were only made at the time of a production run.

Consumables were things like couplers, wheels, complete motor blocks, "skates", etc.

Detail items produced separately are not deemed "profitable"... and I cannot blame them.

I don't think you "got" my reference to GLX:
https://glxscalemodels.com/aristocraft-3d-printed-replacement-parts/diesel-and-gas-engine-locomotive/

They do have some Aristo shades, I did not check which diesel they fit, and none of the parts have color-matched paint.

It's just not practical to make these parts in a separate production run apparently.

More clear answers:

you can get (some) parts now
there is no updated listing on the Bachmann site
I get it you want other parts (don't we all!)

Maybe a Bachmann employee can respond to give you the help you need.

Also, perhaps GLX has some parts you need.

You can get the motor blocks now.... not sure what other spares exist

the web site is not updated to reflect the motor blocks.

No, I think they are really black, not painted... (although there have been cases of red painted black)

cost savings, Aristo did it too.

Was too busy yesterday, yeah, I was going to offer that the pin assignment should be the same as the other locos with the socket:

https://elmassian.com/index.php/dcc/specific-manufacturers/wifitrax

Be nice if the solder pad said chuff huh?  ;-)

Hope it goes well,

Will want to check if there is a pinout diagram for the socket, the chuff should be a pin on J2.

Probably the same as the other newer locos..

Yep, the Bachmann diagram looked like solder pads, but it was indeed the 2/4 chuff switch

Try emailing me the picture, I can get it posted too most likely... (may be barfing on resolution, not actual file size)

But send me the highest resolution you have.

did you look here?

https://www.bachmanntrains.com/home-usa/dwg/dwgs/LS_Baldwin_2-4-4_Forney.connection_diagram.pdf

perhaps "sensor 1 and sensor 2" bottom left edge of main board, there are 4 pads...

You will have to search like mouser, digi-key, etc.

If you can indicate the pin spacing, it makes searching easier.

Like I said, the other Aristo box cars all seem to have opening doors.

The USAT reefers have the flush doors with the offset opening bars with the pivoting lugs...

i have not checked if they have an operating plug door model.

Absolutely, and operating doors are not really a big deal in my book, when they work open, bugs and critters can get inside.

You will notice that modelling this type of door would be a significant and expensive challenge as opposed to the much simpler sliding doors of earlier prototypes.

Yes, as far as I remember, only the Evans has non-operating doors. It was one of the very few new pieces of rolling stock from Aristo in their last years, mostly focused on locos like the Consolidation...

They are using the old Aristo molds as is (molds are expensive)

Yeah, could not find the exact flicker circuit, but here is the shay... there is no independent control of the LEDs and you need to power the circuit with 9 volts... clearly hooking a decoder "output" would not supply 9 volts but just pull it to ground, not what would work.

you mean 350 pixels across or 350k bytes?
