Paul, since Kader made them when Aristo sold them, and Kader makes them now that Bachmann sells them, I would make an educated guess that their "policy" on making parts is the same (with the smaller market, I doubt it has gotten "better" for "us".
In Aristo times, spare parts that were not "consumables" were only made at the time of a production run.
Consumables were things like couplers, wheels, complete motor blocks, "skates", etc.
Detail items produced separately are not deemed "profitable"... and I cannot blame them.
I don't think you "got" my reference to GLX:

They do have some Aristo shades, I did not check which diesel they fit, and none of the parts have color-matched paint.
It's just not practical to make these parts in a separate production run apparently.
