Hey Jim,
Good to hear from you again. What you are saying is to connect both tabs on one side of the peco switch moter and run it to the center screw of the atlas switch box. Then the other two tabs on the other side goes either to the right or left of the center screw of the atlas switch. Thanks, I think this is what you are saying. You are a great help. Larry

How do you start a model railroad club? I live in an area where we do not even have a hobby shop within a 100 miles.

wounded bear,
Does that mean that the Soundtraxx is both sound and a dcc decoder? YOU don't have to buy a decoder and a sound module. Thanks for your help. Larry

HO / DCC for Bachman 3 truck shay

Just wandering if anyone knows what DCC module you put in a Bachman 3 truck shay that is suppose to be DCC ready. I may just run DCC and not sound. If i choose to run sound what do you use that is available. I looked on the internet and everything they seemed to recomend was not available. Thanks for the help. I have got a lot of help from this forum. It is a wonderful thing for model railroaders. Larry

I was wandering if anyone has installed the 3' x 12' backgrounds from background warehouse? Can you share some of the ways you installed them? Thanks Larry

HO / three truck shay

I just bought a Bachman 3 truck shay and am having problems with it running smooth. It slows down than speeds up and keeps doing this no matter how long I run it. It is not the track because everything else runs fine, just the Shay speeds up and then slows down all around the layout. Any help from the experts would be appreciated. Thanks. Larry

HO / Wye's
May 16, 2007, 10:38:26 AM
I have been reading Jim Banner's comments for some time and appreciate his knowledge in our wonderful hobby. One time I asked him a question and got a good answer but was unable to get him the info he needed. I would like to send him a drawing of my layout wiring problem by snail mail so he could show me how to correctly wire two wye's for dcc. If he would be interested would he please email me at gl.summers@hotmail.com. Thanks Jim if you read this. Larry

Jim thanks for your help. How did you draw the diagram? I will try to draw my situation with a wye, if I know how and maybe that will help. Thanks again.
