That makes a lot of sense and potentially saves me a bunch of time. Thanks!

On30 / Dry Transfers?

I have a bunch of Bachmann unlettered On30 rolling stock and I need to put my free-lanced roadname on them.

Bachmann did not put data info on these unmarked cars, so I was wondering what the rest of you do: don't worry about it or what?

I agree.

Merry Christmas, Dom!

GP9's? Please fix the paint job on the Milwaukee Road version. It's so wrong!

I would like to see some fallen flag paint schemes on the F3 engines: Milwaukee Road Freight colors, CGW Deramus red, CB&Q Freight colors. I would also like to see a caboose made to match the fallen flag roads.

WBB, I think this would really be popular among us baby boomers. Hint, hint.

Happy Holidays!

On30 / Re: Installed sound in my connie

I bought a 2-8-0 from Micro-Mark when they had them for $90, and would love to put sound in it.

My bad! I had your layout confused with the "Never Done & Always Changing" layout in the latest Gazette.

That's middle age for you!

I saw your layout in the Gazette and I really liked it. I'm in the process of building a new On30 layout and I may do something similar.

I like the BL-2 engines myself.

I think the Rock Island red, silver, and black paint scheme was one of the snazziest color schemes for a railroad.

So far, I have the WBB FA-1 set and BL-2 in RI colors. I may eventually buy the Geep too.

I love my WBB FA-1 engines in Rock Island colors. I had to find an Atlas O Trainman RI caboose, because no one else seems to offer a decent Rock Island caboose. Fortunately, Walthers still had some in stock.

I have to agree with you Hamish. If the new sound equipped Porters have the correct sound package and operate properly, I will be a happy modeler.

Joe, that picture would be a good reference for WBB. Maybe they could finally fix the coloring of the cab!

On30 / Re: Outside Frame 4-4-0?

Harold, that's a nice looking engine.

I may end up getting the 2-6-6-2 though.

On30 / Outside Frame 4-4-0?

I'm thinking about buying one of these engines, but I noticed that they aren't offered with sound. I may end up buying a 2-6-6-2 instead, just for sound.

My modeling era is pre-depression, (early 20th century) and I'm not certain which engines are appropriate.

These are all great suggestions.

My On30 railway is called the "Plum River Valley Railway."

I've never used dry transfers before, so I have no experience with that sort of thing.
