On30 / New On30 Reefers!
July 21, 2012, 07:49:31 PM
I just got my latest Narrow Gauge & Shortline Gazette, and on page 45 there are some dandy billboard reefers. Well done, Bachmann!

That has to be the nicest WBB ad I've ever seen. The Monon BL-2 looks real!

Way to go guys!

On30 / Dry Transfers?
December 26, 2010, 09:23:35 AM
I have a bunch of Bachmann unlettered On30 rolling stock and I need to put my free-lanced roadname on them.

Bachmann did not put data info on these unmarked cars, so I was wondering what the rest of you do: don't worry about it or what?

On30 / Outside Frame 4-4-0?
September 14, 2010, 09:29:20 AM
I'm thinking about buying one of these engines, but I noticed that they aren't offered with sound. I may end up buying a 2-6-6-2 instead, just for sound.

My modeling era is pre-depression, (early 20th century) and I'm not certain which engines are appropriate.

I was wondered if folks lettered engines and rolling stock for their railroads, what do you use for decals?

On30 / Appropriate Soundtraxx decoder for the 2-8-0
August 28, 2010, 08:42:10 PM
I bought a 2-8-0 from Micro-Mark recently and I want to add sound to it. Personally I don't quite understand Bachmann's marketing strategy when it comes to sound, but it's their company after all.

So, which Soundtraxx decoder is appropriate for  the 2-8-0? Also, I'm only going to install one speaker.

It's too bad Soundtraxx doesn't offer an aftermarket kit for these engines (decoder, speaker, cables, etc.)

Anyway, any new Bachmann On30 engines had better have factory sound installed, or I won't be buying them.

Williams by Bachmann / 2010 Platinum Club
January 25, 2010, 01:10:09 PM
Hi, I was intending to sign up for this, but I haven't seen anything on the Bachmann website. What's up?

I would love to see some pictures of the Milwaukee Road E-7 and 72' passenger cars before I buy them.

Has anyone bought them and taken a picture of them together? I know they were on the 2009 WBB catalog, but I couldn't get a good look at them together.

Thanks,

Mike

Well done, Bachmann  ;D

When are the new catalogs shipping to the club members?

BTW, I like the snazzy club car for 2009!

Williams by Bachmann / Catalog Cover Shot
April 23, 2009, 08:47:02 AM
Would it be possible to see the cover shot of the new catalog without all of the other graphics? It would make an excellent wallpaper for my office pc.

As a Milwaukee Road fan I was very pleased to see the E7 engines in the correct colors and numbers.

Too bad WBB couldn't have put the correct observation car on the rear of that train, but the colors look about right. I'm just glad I can buy a Milwaukee Road set - period!

Now, how about an F3 set in Milwaukee Road freight colors?

Williams by Bachmann / Rock Island Passenger Cars
March 08, 2009, 03:45:42 PM
I just bought the FA-1 engine pair in Rock Island colors (very nicely executed, btw.) and managed to find a dealer who still had a set of the aluminum streamlined 60' cars. I wasn't able to get the 2 car add-on set, so I'm hoping that this series will be offered by WBB again.

What say you WBB??

The Rock Island rocket trains were spectacular to see and Williams did an excellent job of capturing the colors.

I know most of your customers prefer the east or west coast trains, but some of the midwestern roads had great looking color schemes too.

Have the club cars we ordered last year arrived yet?

Williams by Bachmann / Customer Service
February 04, 2009, 11:23:00 AM
I just bought the sharks in Baldwin demo colors.

I noticed that there was no instruction sheet or manual with the engines. I also noticed that the A dummy had a spare lightbulb in the box, but the powered A unit did not.

I've tried calling customer service and leaving a message on the customer service manager's voicemail, but I've gotten no reply.

I didn't want to post this on the board, but I haven't been able to speak with a real person by phone.

Williams by Bachmann / March CTT Back Cover Ad
January 27, 2009, 07:56:05 AM
Now that I have my sharks in the demo colors, I'm looking for another WBB engine (or more, but don't tell the wife!).

I was really impressed with your back cover ad on the March issue of CTT. Your catalog artwork does not do justice to these engines! I really like the appearance of the Alco FA-1 engines. :)

When are the new sharks in Baldwin demo colors going to be at the dealers? I've checked with a couple of dealers and they don't know.

Thanks :)

On30 / New Engine
December 30, 2008, 06:47:53 PM
My wife bought me a OF Forney that's sound-equipped, and I really love it.

So far I have a Forney and Climax, both equipped with sound.

The question I would like answered is this:

Does Bachman intend to offer more engines with sound?

BTW, both of those Bachmann engines blow my BLI 2-8-0 clean away for sound effects.

On30 / Appropriate Sound Decoder for the 2-8-0
December 30, 2008, 06:29:55 PM
Hi, I'm looking at a 2-8-0 Connie and although it's dcc-equipped, it doesn't have sound.

So any suggestions for a sound decoder?

On30 / Future Porters w/ DCC?
December 28, 2008, 07:04:56 PM
Hey Bach Man! I would love to buy some Porters with dcc installed in them. I have two Porters but I'm not about to attempt installing a decoder in them. My job involves electronics, but I prefer to just run trains!

Please consider my request :)
