Nevermind. I emailed them, and they don't have any that come DCC ready.

So unfortunatly, Trainworld doesn't have any of the good ones.

I am looking at one of the Heisler by Rivarossi units and it is DCC ready (add the decoder), if the units are not DCC ready they must be very old stock - I would check again.

I emailed Trainworld, and thats what they told me. They don't have any DCC ready Heislers.

But anyway, I'm wondering if Bachmann or Bachmann Spectrum would consider producing this engine?

Thank you very much Nigel. Is calling the only way to order from that website?

Trains,

I lived in Livermore for 20 years before retirement, and drove thru Niles Canyon several times. Really fine scenery and some of the railroad
bridges, etc, were more than interesting.
I never had the pleasure of riding the Niles Canyon Railway, nor was I lucky
enough to see the engine in your picture.

Where was the picture taken? I don't recognize the location.

Dick

Not sure where it was taken. I found the picture online.

I saw that there, but there are a lot of risks with ordering an HO engine. Things can break during shipping, and stuff like that.

Has Bachmann thought about making a Heisler?

Has there been any discussion in Bachmann Sprectrum making a Heisler?  There are no more Rivarossi Heislers left. They stoped making them. I really want one, and wish I could find more Rivarossi ones......but I can't because there is none left in the local Train stores around where I live.

HO / Spectrum GS4?

I heard a rumor a long time ago that Bachmann Spectrum was making a GS4?

That is really neat. I remember playing on those kind of things when I was a little kid.

Accept the one I talked about up above used to run. Which is why it would be nice to have an HO version of the engine above. See even if the real one doesn't run anymore, I would be still able to at least run a model of it.

HO / Steptoe Valley #3........A childhood memory engine
February 10, 2007, 02:38:12 AM
Today, I was looking back on some of my old home videos that had been recorded when I was 6 years old at Niles Canyon Railway. If anybody is familure with this tourist line, they used to have a little 0-4-0 steam engine called Steptoe Valley #3. I used to ride that engine a lot when I was a little kid, and even got a cab ride from it once. Unfortunately, it has been torn apart for about 8 years now, and has never been rebuilt back up. But I used to really remember that engine as a childhood memory, and really miss it.

I am wondering if Bachmann can produce this engine?  Here is the picture:

This is why BLI would produce it. Maybe if they did, we could get a nice stealth one and upgrade to sound or something.

BLI comes with sound. Just to let you know also.....I just got an email back from BLI, and they said that they have plans for a 4-12-2, but don't know when they will start building it :-D

Mr. Bachmann:  What about the Alton & Southern 0-8-0?

I wouldn't mind seeing a Canadian Steam Hudson. They are very beautiful.

Gorden - see your e-mail!!
