oh dear God no! Not Trump! Now the Bach-Man, on the other hand, would make a nice figure for the new battery operated sets or in the regular model line! :)

what he means is, by the looks. Bachmann have really captured how they really look like.

^ Above 1 Reply - @Reply #64 By Sparks: Generally it is, yes, but some item like Spencer's Special Coach are HO Gauge.

No Spencer's coach is reused tooling from the mainline range. All the tooling for the rolling stock (besides Annie, Clarabel, Emily's coaches, red coaches, mail cars, and the flat car with paint drums) are all reused tooling from the mainline range. The rest were completely new tooling. So all reused tooling is 00 scale while everything else is close to scale. To add, the Thomas line is labeled HO/00 scale because the two scales are interchangeable.

they will most likely be CGI since they have all appeared in CGI recently. Duck was the exception because the CGI render wasn't released until after the Bachmann model was released

Wow! That's some great modeling! I like how the breakdown train is looking. I have a rake of 6 Hornby Maunsell coaches and have been debating whether or not to repaint them, but now I'm convinced after looking at the ones you have! They look fantastic! Keep up the great work! any pictures of a layout to show?

The only thing I don't like is how Sir Topham Hatt doesn't send Thomas to the Steam works after falling into the cave. Also, wouldn't it have been the signalman or the drivers fault fr Thomas seeming to run into Toby?

how do we know that for sure? It's just a trailer, better details will be in the special.

General Discussion / Why model trains?

I always like to hear how other people got started in the hobby. How did it all start? What was the fascination? Have you introduced anyone else to the hobby? I started out with Thomas, and O gauge set then moved to Bachmann's HO line. That lead me to move to British 00 scale.

General Discussion / Re: Flying Scot

i would try ebay. I bought the set second hand as well and it's in great condition. The Flying Scot (different from The Flying Scotsman) was a set made by Bachmann US back in the day. They also made an Orient Express set as well....which I still have yet to get my hand on. the Flying Scot is a Royal Scot class locomotive, maybe a secondhand Bachmann UK Royal Scot class loco from the same era the model was produced might be your best bet.
