[EDIT] Well, Chaz, if they listen to the fans, why was there no Oliver?
Well. No Oliver.   :-[ I am pretty sad right now. ...

I think we are taking this a tad far.  The range already has nearly 20 engines and we have had a steady release every year since 2005.

I hate to be so blunt, but some need to be more grateful they have kept all the engines in the range still and that we have been getting what we want for years now.  We've been somewhat spoiled by Bachmann. We got all the engines for series 1, most of 2 and even some of the s6 and s7 engines.  Give them a break.  Bachmann is still listening to fans.  The coaches are a prime example...

I am looking forward to these buildings!   ;D

IMO, I'm more excited about them than the engines at the moment!

I bought a second one and it did the exact same thing.  It runs fidgety for a little bit and stops after a while.  My Ben (same tooling) does not share this issue.  I cleaned the old Bill out and am waiting to see if the issue resolves.  It usually worsens after an hour or two of no running.

If the issue doesn't resolve itself soon, I suppose I'll send the newer Bill to Bachmann Trains.

Dear Bachmann Trains,

I have purchased Bill (58805) about two months ago.  Unfortunately as when I got it, it showed either troubles or common issues that could be fixed by myself.  The locomotive runs around the track, but almost slows down and it sounds like there is some binding going on in the loco.  I oiled all the parts and gears and even cleaned it and that seemed to fix the problem for a while.

Now the issue has gotten slightly worse, with the "bind" not going away, even after a running in.  Should I return this loco or have it serviced?

Anyone else having these issues with Bill or Ben?

I suggest Peco.  It is sectional and more prototypical to UK standards.

Duck leans forward because his rear screw is loose.  I fixed mine by tightening it.

Mine is a 4'x6' that divides into two sections for portability.  The legs are PVC pipe that screw on.  It is held together by using wing nuts and wooden dowels.

It turns actually.  The whole mode disassembles which makes it easy to cut for chassis room.

Harvey is made by Bandai.  He looks to be perfect size for HO/OO.

Thanks for the complements!

Well, since my Grad program has started, I have been working on my layout, a 4x6 portable sectional layout.  Lots of things have been done.  Working on the scenery!

I didn't photograph big areas, as it is under construction and I want you to see final product.
Devious Diesel shunting in the yards!

Harvey, who is a WIP!  Happy to be on wagon wheels at the moment, awaiting a Pug chassis

Donald watching Bertie pass.  "Ach, be glad he didn't take a photo of the whole layout.  It is a mess!

WHA? Its Bachmann Du... Wait... Oh Edward, you fooled us. The "others" are anxious for Duck's arrival!
