...maybe the Bachmann just doesn't like me ;)

I just wish they would give a clear, direct answer

    Mike,
The Bach-Man is not "they" (Bachmann). He is in the same position as the rest of us concerning new products. Until he gets one in his hands he is unable to answer specific questions.
If you really need advance info, suggest you try an email to Mr.Lee Riley.

Travis,

Since all versions come with a choice of stacks you don't have a problem.

On30 / Re: New Stuff--NOT

Woody,

I asked because Bachmann have announced a Large Scale version. Surely there are as many folks modelling a logging line in On30 as there are in Large Scale.

It looks that the Greenbrier cab has an external blanking plate over, rather than 'glass' in, the front window aperture. Should be an easy alteration to any of the other steel cab versions.

I noticed that the Black Wood Cab version has fluted domes.

I have one of the Triang-Hornby issue with single coach safely tucked away in its box.
Saw one on ebay about 5 years ago that went for nearly £50. Must see if I can find the present going price.

Did he mention anything about Bachmann Diesels coming with sound in the future?
Robert

From their advert in the July issue of Railway Modeller, Bachmann Europe(UK) are introducing UK Diesel classes 24 & 25  with DCC Sound. Another example of different "branches" doing their own thing.

On30 / Re: On30 Bridges

Bachmann have a covered (road) bridge in the Plasticville range that can probably be adapted. The Bach-Man used parts for a building on one of his exhibition layouts. Look back thru the pages in the Photo Gallery. Also Products--O scale--kits--page 4  in left hand column.

On30 / ..........tenders
June 07, 2009, 02:43:45 PM

     Mr. Bach Man,

Why don't Bachmann supply seperate tenders in On30 as they do in HO and N gauges???  Especially the one for the IF 4-4-0 which would be a boon for those of us 'bashing' smaller locos (like the Forney).

I may be leaning more towards a "gumstump" (http://www.carendt.com/scrapbook/page38a/index.html )

With your 2ft. depth, you should be able to include the runaround track variation on the lower level and probably one on the top level also.

Have found that it is wise to place removed screws in a small jar (or even just the screw -on lid)--- placing them on the worktable usually results in one or more ending up on the floor as you move things around.

General Discussion / Re: Handy Train Controller
May 17, 2009, 07:31:42 AM

Don't know about using a Mobile, but Lenz has an XPA adapter which allows you to use a local CORDLESS home phone as a hand controller. The US made systems use radio frequencies which are illegal in most other parts of the world. FWIW

Another fully featured free software is:-

        http://www.photofiltre.com/

I use it myself on Vista and found it easy to learn. It is a French application but has an "anglais"link on home page and you download the English version.
