Thank you Thats definitely a good place to start. Unfortunately, they don't have a HO scale Class 37. Do you know of anywhere that would sell one?

I saw the Tri-plex at the train show this weekend. I have to say that I really think it is one of the more impressive models I have seen in the price range. Further, it seemed to be performing very well. That having been said, it was running on a flat surface. I have read on this board that there may be a problem with the engines drive wheels coming up off of the tracks on a grade. So I would wait and see if this probelem persists and can be remedied by the company. Still, it is really a great looking, unusual engine.

In November you also asked:
SDP45 Question

Does anybody know if any HO companies make, or made SP SDP45's?
Also, is there any left in existence in real life?
NONE so far!

With lube, the golden rule is always "Only when there is obviously a problem". Excess lube ALWAYS causes more problelms than it solves. If electical pickup is fine, don't apply the lube.

Hi Steam Freak,
You might safely conclude there is not much to be gained by even worrying about what letter to use to define the size of the model trains when discussing large or "garden" scale- better to simply use the scale factor (1:22.5, 1:20.3). THAT way everyone knows more precisely what you are talking about and it at least avoids the arguments from those with pet peeves about the letter-based nomenclatures.
Bachmann's new K-27 will be like Spectrum geared steam engines (38T Shay, Climax, Heisler) which are all 1:20.3 (I have all three of them) along with the newer 3-truck Shay. So call 'em whatever you want (G or Fn3) but make sure you buy or make 1:20.3 accessories, figures, and buildings to go with them if you want to stay "in scale".
