HO / Cass Scenic car color?
December 01, 2014, 09:11:01 PM
Ive been trying to find a bottle of paint that matches the Bachmann HO scale Cass Scenic excursion car color and haven't had much luck.

Im guessing it must be a color exclusively that only Bachmann makes? Or is there a way I can find the paint? Ive been able to come close, but still doesn't quite work.

Picture for reference:

HO / An HO 2-6-6-2T?
April 29, 2013, 03:22:51 AM
The Bach-man, would you be so kind to please pass on the request to have an HO scale version of the 2-6-6-2T that you guys have made in G scale? Due to Clover Valley #4 now running once again at Niles Canyon, I would love to own an HO scale model of it :-)

And before Mantua's model is mentioned; they're not even close.

HO / HO DCC Jupiter?
April 21, 2013, 06:56:35 PM
I would really love to see Bachmann make an HO scale DCC OnBoard version of the American Jupiter. Would you guys be able to add this request to your locomotive ideas?

Also, in light of Clover Valley #4 restored to operational condition, does Bachmann have any plans on making an HO scale version of their 2-6-6-2T?

Any plans on Bachmann Spectrum making more runs of F40PH's?

HO / P-8 Pacific

Have a new idea for Bachmann Spectrum line. What about a P-8 Pacific?  Like the famous running SP 2472?

HO / Rare Diesels for Bachmann?
February 21, 2012, 04:50:18 PM
Due to Athearn selling so well with all these rare diesels, does Bachmann plan to put some of those too? Like SDP45's or Krauss Maffie's maybe?

Still cant get SDP45's in plastic. Has never been done yet. Only in brass :/

HO / Other large articulateds?
February 10, 2012, 05:04:43 AM
Due to the success of the new EM-1's, have you guys considered making any other types of Yellowstone class engines? AC-9's, or something alone those lines?

-Thank you

HO / Bachmann Shay Tender Weight
November 20, 2010, 05:13:58 AM
Does Bachmann plan make oil and coal tender weights available to buy in the parts list for the HO Shay? I've been really looking to buy an oil weight for the bunker.

HO / Blacken-it

Has anybody dealt with the chemical "Blacken-it" on HO stuff? If anybody has, do you know if you can use it on gears?

HO / 3 Truck Climax Question
October 25, 2010, 07:37:54 PM
I have a question:

Will the new 3 Truck 70t Climax have either steel gears, or a better way of managing it? I'm sure Bachmann knew about the past issues with the older 2 Truck Climax. I don't want to buy one of the new 3 truck versions coming out unless Bachmann plans or has made a fix to solve that issue once and for all.

HO / Shay parts
October 20, 2010, 10:28:16 PM
I'm wondering if theres a way to get the bachmann Shay oil burning smokestack and oil bunker? I'm trying to turn an undecorated coal shay into a oil burning one. I kit-bashed my other oil burning bachmann shay into a West Side Lumber Co. Shay. Heres a picture of it:

And so I would like to do the same with the other one I have. It would be a lot easier to get the bachmann smokestack and oil tender because its made to fit that engine. It would be a lot harder for me to try to fit a Details West or Details Associate's smokestack on there; if they make one that is.

HO / Small Heisler?
November 30, 2009, 04:05:35 PM
Due to Rivarossi no longer a company, does Bachmann have any plans for making an HO Heisler?   I have one of the Rivarossi versions. All though they are really nice, they are slightly out of scale. They are much too large for a Two Truck Heisler.

For a while, Bachmann Spectrum made HO scale Climax. But from what I understood they stopped producing them due to the same mechanical problems the real ones had? I would buy an HO scale version if they still had them. But since they don't, I'm asking for a small Two Truck Heisler. Perhaps a little 36 toner?

Thank you,
Steam Freak.

HO / West Side Lumber paints?
August 19, 2009, 08:04:48 PM
Maybe I miscategorized this question?  I guess it should be in this forum instead of "General".

I'm going to be taking an undecorated HO Shay and turning it into a West Side Lumber Company Shay. What shade of red matches the best?  Any certain types of red that would match by Pollyscale paints?

HO / DCC OnBoard 0-6-0's?
February 19, 2009, 11:48:12 PM
I was wondering if any of the smaller steam engines will be made with DCC OnBoard? I've always wanted to have a small steam switcher like a 0-6-0, but with a DCC chip installed.

Or something to be made like this maybe?

HO / Decoders for Acela?
February 05, 2009, 07:09:51 PM
What are good decoders for the Acela?  Not the new HHP-8, but the Acela Express? I'm trying to also find a decoder that supports Back-EMF.

HO / Dissasembling Acela engine aggravation
February 05, 2009, 05:31:19 AM
It just seems to be impossible. How do I open up the damn thing without breaking something?

I even looked here: http://web.mac.com/msibnsf/iWeb/Acela%20Express,%20The%20Need%20For%20Speed/Modeling%20Techniques.html

And even with that, I still couldn't get it open. How do I do this???

Also, does the Acela require a decoder in the dummy engine as well?
