I have. There's honestly not that much on the C&S.

Does anyone know any good sources for the Colorado and Southern Railroad online? It seems as though everybody spends their time with the more favoured Denver and Rio Grande

I have thought about doing that actually. I just wanted to take a generic market engine that everyone (who knows the hobby) won't recognize when I'm done with it.

Thanks all! I am only starting out, but your all's help I'm getting closer and closer to building my dream railroad. (all I need is money)  With removing the rear axle it could be turned into somewhat close to the Rio Grande L-77. Distant cousin perhaps? Anyway I thank you for your help (and hope I kept your creative gears in tune) and hope that someday I will have 2-6-6-0s and 4-8-0s running around my basement/yard (or both!)

How hard/what would I need to do to convert an Aristo Craft 2-8-8-2 to 1:20.3?

A C-19 would be wonderful! It's one of my favorite narrow gauge steamers....especially when fitted with a snow plow. However, I would be more partial towards Bachmann releasing something from the C&S roster, be it the B-4-E or B-3A. There's something about those beartrap stacks.... even though I really shouldn't even be looking, as the railroad here is all but shut down since my son left for college and I have no time to sit down and play.

But if my vote counts, I would go for a Narrow Gauge diesel, be it the end cab units used of the Georgetown Loop or a White Pass diesel, or a C&S steamer.

#40 is a beautiful engine, when in Alaska, Colorado or Central America.

My apologies all, forget my last message. I wrote it while at work when my mind was going a hundred different ways. I am looking for a small road/switching diesel with two trucks that have three axles each. Like a SD-50 but smaller. Hope that clarifies my question.
