There are 4 lites each in the smaller stacks, will be 6 to 8 in the large stack. Will add pole lites from the ground up to fill in any large dead spots.

Started on the refinery stacks, this kit is tricky to assemble the instructions are terrible. You have to use common sense and read between the lines. I had to cut my stacks apart to install the led lites, I have been avoiding this, at the same time it needs to get done as this is in the middle of the layout. I am working from 2 benches now to keep the chaos to a minimum.

I am working on the main middle stack, and have to mark with a pencil where all the catwalks and ladders line up as well as the piping. I can then make where my led lites will go so they don't interfere. I have made all my own led lites.

It has been a while since I placed an order. Where is the best place with availability to order from? I am looking for things like pallets, barrels, debris, benches etc. I do need some older model cars and trucks too. One thing I have not been able to find is a Farm grain truck. they are all cattle or livestock trucks, nothing for hauling grain.

Started with cutting lines and then using Indian ink with alcohol wash to make the black cracks. This is just the first base coat, thinking of powder and gravel /sand now.

Been awhile. Been busy with work and life. we finally got snow here, so down on the bench again. Goring to keep plugging away on the refinery, this is a tedious piece, lots of details. trying to add lighting along the way.

A couple more. Will try a lighter wash or a powder to dull the cracks up a bit. They are pretty blunt, my wash was a little dark.

Finally got back into the basement. It's a slow start, at the same time I am looking to detail more areas before moving on. I started to detail the roads to look better than just all grey. Roads are tough to do and make correct.I added gravel around the gas station and along the tree line and road side. A little at a time.
