Yes, I second that. Dremel discs are way too rough. They sell cleaning pads for cheap and they are much safer, and more effective.

I once owned the set, and it came on analog power. Unless you converted it to DCC after purchase, there should be no issues with running it on analog.

Hey, you asked a lot of valid questions. I can give a little advice and that is to say stay away from peco. Aside from its' ridiculous cost, its not better than atlas flex. In fact, atlas code 83 flex track is better than the peco. Anyway, I would also stay away from DCC for now because it is a lot more complicated. I'll be back and edit this with more, as now I have to go!

    Your plan should work as long as your straightaways are longer than the station.

       In my opinion, scrap the 18, get 2 22" circles. If thats too much for now, yes 22" is the ideal loop size, 24" being even better, however that may be a tad more expensive.
