A quick look at the parts diagram at Bachmann indicates
that part # 0AX02 goes with items # 50903, 50904, and 50948...

It is not what "I consider to be the correct pilot."
Quick review of 2700 photos in the C&OHS indicate that
they all had the same pilot. When the loco was first
introduced, it did NOT have the correct pilot. A further
release of the loco had the correct pilot and the parts
diagram showed a different pilot with a different part
number for the C&O locomotive....

According to Peachcreekshops the pilot on the latest edition of the Kanawha has been corrected. They will provide free replacements for locomotives purchased from them.What do those of us who did not purchase from Peace Creek do?
