HO / Soundvalue GS-4
July 13, 2017, 02:47:02 AM
Does anyone have one of these that can answer a question for me? If not can the Bach-Man answer it for me? I was looking at getting the AFT paint scheme one and was wondering if the Gyro-light is a separate LED from the headlight or if it is the same LED as the headlight like on the DCC on Board version? I only ask since the newest roadnames of the ES44 and SD70ACe have working Ditch Lights and the DDA40X had working number boards and beacon light that were lit separate from the headlight using searate LEDs.

HO / Bachmann USRA Light 4-6-2
December 25, 2016, 08:03:55 PM
Hey Bach-Man,
I have a question regarding the tender of the new USRA Light 4-6-2. Does it use the same tender as the USRA Light 2-8-2 or is it a new tender? And if it is the same tender how could I get a spare tender chassis for the DCC Ready 2-8-2 with out buying a second engine?

HO / Bachmann HO Heavyweight passenger cars
February 26, 2014, 05:23:07 PM
While it is nice that the heavyweights are being brought back, I can't understand why they are now $95 when back when the same coaches were Spectrum line coaches they only cost about $35 a coach. The Bachmann Budd full domes aren't even this expensive. Can the Bach-Man give an explanation?

HO / Bachmann SP GS-4 Gyra Light install
February 09, 2014, 10:36:03 PM
I have a Bachmann GS-4 that I have custom fitted with a Soundtraxx TSU-1000 Heavy Steam Decoder and I wanted to fit it with some Miniatronics LED's so I can have the main headlight and the Gyra Light both fitted for a bit more of a realistic feel for the head light and was wondering how I would go about doing this. Anyone who has experience with this have any advise and tips to share?

HO / Adding coal (or Iron Ore) loads to coal cars
January 16, 2014, 04:42:18 PM
I have some coal cars I am trying to fit iron ore loads to and have tried using regular model glue and it didn't hold very well. I was wondering if anyone who has experience in this area of the hobby could give some advice me as this is my first time trying to fit coal and ore cars with Woodland Scenics Iron Ore as a load.

HO / Spectrum 4-6-0 shell removal
August 18, 2013, 11:56:47 AM
Could anyone tell me what steps I have to take to get the body shell off of the HO scale 63" driver 4-6-0? The diagram is really no help at figuring out what screw goes where and what parts on the shell I have to move out of the way to pull the shell off.

HO / Standard Line 2-8-0 issue
November 24, 2012, 04:54:09 PM
I just bought the Union Pacific Standard line 2-8-0 today from my LHS and I have tried it out and it doesn't run as well as my Spectrum line one from 4 years ago and I was just wondering if it just needs to be run in a little more or if I should check the internal mechanism for something a little more serious.

HO / Spectrum 2-8-0 issue
August 22, 2012, 11:55:08 PM
The head of the screw holding the draw bar and the back half of the bodyshell on my Spectrum HO scale 2-8-0 is stripped and I can't get it out so I can oil the gears. Any suggestions/ideas on how to get the screw out and would I be able to get a replacement screw?

What would be the best pilot truck to use for making the Bachmann Standard C&O style 2-8-4 into a C&O 4-8-4?

HO / 2-8-0 Roadnames
March 19, 2012, 10:47:37 AM
Mr. Bach-Man,
Do you think it would be possible to bring back the Baldwin Locomotive Works paint scheme for the Baldwin 2-8-0 or a Milwaukee Road paint scheme? Or at least get a spare body shell and tender body shell in the Baldwin Locomotive Works scheme of the old Spectrum Model #11417 Baldwin Locomotive Works 2-8-0 #9700?

HO / GS-4 question

I lost the screw for securing the front of the body shell. Is there any way to get a replacement one?

HO / Spectrum 4-4-0 question
January 19, 2012, 05:27:46 PM
I am looking at the Spectrum Richmond 4-4-0 and had a quick question. How many cars it can pull on level track? And are the tender body shells interchangeable between the Baldwin and Richmond versions?

HO / Midwestern Railroad suggestions
December 12, 2011, 02:56:27 PM
Dear Bach-Man,
Are there any plans to make more Midwestern steam engines like the Milwaukee Road S-3 Class 4-8-4's? A class of 10 splendid mixed use engines made in 1944 by ALCO with 4 being modified to be oil burners and sent out west (#'s 262, 263, 267, and 269) while the other 6 (#'s 260, 261, 264,265, 266, and 268 were left as coal burners and stayed in the Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa and Nebraska area pulling not only freight but the Hiawatha Passenger trains. Only 2 survive. The 261 and 265 (the bold and italicized ones listed with the remaining 6 not made oil burners). The 261 almost done with it's 15 year boiler inspection and as of 3 days ago, as of this post, is back on its drivers fresh back from the TVRR who turned the wheels back to a round shape and based out of Minneapolis and the 265 in the Illinois Railroad Museum in Union, IL. Just wanted to know if you had any more Midwestern engines in the works in HO scale.

HO / Steam engine suggestions
September 07, 2011, 10:40:04 AM
Dear Bach-Man,
If you would be willing to consider these ideas, I have a couple of suggestions for standard line steamers. The first is Grand Canyon Railway #4960. An Ex-CB&Q class O-1A 2-8-2 built by Baldwin Locomotive Works in 1923 as it appears in Grand Canyon Railway operation.

The Second is Grand Canyon Railway #29. An Ex-LS&I class SC-3 2-8-0 built by ALCO's Pittsburgh Shops in 1906 as it appears in current Grand Canyon Railway service.

Again if you would please consider these ideas, it would be much appreciated.
