I just installed a Williams True Blast 2 sound unit in my Williams 44 tonner, and I was very disappointed in the tinny sound of the prime mover. It might be that the 44 tonners really sounded like that, but I don't know for sure.. I'm considering getting either the GP30 or the GP38 sound units, and I was wondering if the sound quality of these units is any better.

Williams by Bachmann / Williams power upgrade kit
January 07, 2020, 03:22:47 PM
I have a Williams MW EP-5 and a CP FP45 that I bought about 20 years ago, They both came with a dummy unit that had a sound board. I thought it would be neat if I powered them up with the Williams power upgrade kit, and it looks like it's easy to install. I'm looking at the image in the catalog, and it looks like the kit comes with only one power unit. Is that correct? That's not much power for an engine that size. Has anyone out there have any experience doing this conversion?

Williams by Bachmann / Williams reverse board
January 06, 2020, 03:53:48 PM
I have a Williams GG1 that I bought way back in 1981. They didn't have electronic reverse units way back then, so I had an E-unit hooked up, connected to a bridge rectifier. I'd like to buy a Williams reverse board with lockout (item 00249) for this engine. Will this reverse board work on a Williams engine this old? Will I still need a bridge rectifier?
