HO / Bachmann E-Z Track Rail Height
November 16, 2008, 08:18:50 PM
All,
Does anyone know what the bachmann rail code is for the ones with the built in roadbed? (code 100 or 83) I need to know because I am going to get a kadee magnetic uncoupler and don't know which one to get (again, the one for code 100 or code 83). Thanks.

HO / Bachmann decoder Problem For The Bach Man
September 27, 2008, 12:56:16 AM
Hey everyone! I have my Acela Trainset and an E-Z decoder 8 pin plug, but I don't know how to dissassemble the locomotive. I have gone to the Acela Modelling Techniques Page, but it doesn't say how to pop off the back plate very clearly. I tried to push the sides apart and pry out the back, but it seems like I will snap it because it won't budge. Am I doing something wrong? Can someone explain to me in extreme detail how to install my decoder? I am very new to DCC and need help.  ???

Thanks,

General Discussion / Track Cleaning
July 12, 2008, 03:33:43 PM
Hi. I am wondering if I could use lysol disinfecting wipes as a track cleaner for the Bachmann e-z track system. However, would it have a chemical reaction and possibly wreck the tracks?

Hey! I bought lots of life like cars for my new bachmann dcc equipped engine. The only problem is that my dcc engine has different couplers from the life like coaches. I tried to couple them anyways but they wont stay coupled. Any ideas on how to convert one side of one coach of the life like coaches so that they can all couple? This means I will have one coach with one E-Z Mate II coupler on one side and a life like coupler on the other.

Hey everyone! I was running my new Santa Fe DCC Equiped locomotive by Bachmann really slowly, and then, all of a sudden, it stopped, switched to reverse, backed up pretty fast, stopped, then continued its slow speed forward. I haven't done anything to the engine, and I am using the Bachmann E-Z Command Control system. Does the Santa Fe just move backwards to avoid getting stuck? Or is it a factory problem? :'(

Thanks,

Hi Mr. Bach Man! I just opened my Acela Express HO set and ran it for five minutes. Then I noticed that the dummy engine (the engine in the back) had a pair of wheels that were not turning. I then started a series of tests. I ran the acela fast, then slow. The wheels had no problem turning when the train was going fast, but when I ran it slowly, I noticed that the very last pair of wheels where not turning! They were just sliding. At first, I thought it was the electrical pickups rubbing against the wheels too hard. But I lefted the electrical pickups and ran it again. The same problem. I think it is something inside of the dummy. If I put my hand lightly on top of the dummy and push it, there is no problem. However, I don't have a weight that fits inside the dummy! I do not know how to dissasemble the acela and do not want to break it while trying. Do I have to send the train back to bachmann? Will I have to pay for shipping? Do I have to send the whole train back, or just the dummy car?

Thanks,
