On30 / Another new loco idea.
December 01, 2013, 02:48:58 AM
I know I have mentioned this before, quite a while ago, but I would still like to see Bachmann do a model of the Tasmanian Beyer-Garrat, K-1. This is a very small loco and would fit in nicely with many of the smaller locos that have already been done.
The prototype now resides at the Welsh Highlands Railways, and has been fully restored to running condition, so it wouldn't be a problem to obtain the needed details to build a model.
A look at the WHR site will show many photos, and videos, of this loco in service.

On30 / New Diesel Specs.
September 10, 2013, 08:24:57 PM
Hi Yardmaster,
I am looking forward to the release of the new diesel shortly.
I haven't been able to find any details about the physical size of the model.
Would you please tell us the overall length and width, and the height above the rails.
Thanking you,
RGS Goose.

On30 / Class A 15 ton Vertical Boiler Climax.
March 26, 2012, 06:58:40 PM
Hi everyone,
I would love to see Bachmann do an On30, Class A, 15 ton (approx), Vertical Boiler. 2 Truck, Climax, with onboard DCC and sound.
I believe it would be possible to modify and use the 2 cylinder engine off the present Shay, and the trucks off the present Climax, as a basis for such a model, which would ease the production costs.
How do all you loggers out there feel about this idea?  If you are interested in this let Lee know. Like the Heisler, if we ask nicely (continually) he might look kindly on us.

On30 / On30 Heisler
July 09, 2011, 12:22:06 AM
Congratulations Bachmann, and thank you, for announcing the On30 Heisler many of us have been hoping and waiting for. Is there any hope that you will do a factory fitted sound version?
Can you post some photos on the forum to keep us happy while we wait for it to come, or can some-one who has been to the covention post some photos of it, if there was a pilot model on display. Thanks.

Can the Bach Man tell me when the On30 4-6-0's, with sound, are due to be delivered?

On30 / On30 2-8-0 Motor HumI
February 02, 2010, 10:02:07 PM
I purchased a Bachmann On30 2-8-0 some time ago which has only been test run occasionally up until now.
When I begin to apply power to the motor (using an NCE Procab system), the motor hums quite a bit before the loco moves. The hum slowly disappears as the loco accelerates. I suspect it is the chopped DC that our DCC systems feed the motors that is causing the hum, but do not know enough about it to know if it is the motor or the DCC decoder that is the real problem ( or both ).
Can anyone enlighten me as to the cause, and also tell me if there is a relatively easy way to stop this hum, as it is a bit annoying.

On30 / RGS Geese
January 19, 2010, 01:12:06 AM
I am an RGS fan and have the Bachmann #1 Rail Truck, of course. I also have 5 of the PCM Geese, all in On30. I have a total of 21 various motive power units, some of which are D&RGW, others which are neither RGS or D&RGW but I will run them because I like them and have a particular interest in them (e.g. Bachmann Shay & Climax amongst others).
It appears there are no plans for anyone to do On30 models of RGS Geese Nos. 2, 6 &7 at the moment.
I would like to ask the Bach Man if it is possible to get Bachmann to look at doing them, preferably in the following order :- #7 first, #2 next, and then #6 (as we already have the #1 Rail Truck).
