Some of you may remember the old idea I had about posting a video every day and having everyone review that episode. Well I'm relaunching this thread but I will post 2 different videos every Monday. (Today is the exception) Are there rules to this thread, yes?

This season was a definite up from the past season, that season being season 15.

*Characters (Narrow Gauge FINALLY)
*Characteristics....Spencer showed Arrogance, Edward age etc
*Specials-For one of the episodes Henry, Edward, and Thomas were the special choices even though Thomas got it usually Gordon, James, or Percy replaces Edward and Henry.
*The Old Theme
*That new car caught my interest I DON'T KNOW WHY...he was cool.
*History-It showed a young Sir Topham Hatt and Edward who was one of the first there.
*Graphics
*Longer expresses...Gordon had like 5 coaches. Haven't seen that in awhile
*It even said Thomas on his branch line, Henry with the Flying Kipper...etc etc.
*A sense of story telling

Well my major complaint ever since Season 9 was the show based too much on repetition, the 3 strike system, ridiculous rhymes, and focusing too much on teaching lessons and not enough story telling Season 1-6 told stories with that hidden sense of don't make that mistake or keep you promises "no matter what the weather". Basically the reason those were the best days of Thomas...in some instances I felt that alittle more in the episodes. It will be slow but Thomas and Friends will be the show we all know it can be with that 110% effort on the part of the writers.

*There was still repetition even though less then usual there was
*Stafford...REALLY? I mean I know it's to make money off of toys but he seems kinda pointless. Why buy an unreliable engine? Come on Sir Topham Hatt!
*The sense that when Thomas said we can't "mess around, joke around," something like that he was a hypocrite of the past 8 seasons.
*The Engines still seemed really dumb
*Where was TOBY?!?! He barely got TV time.
I made the season sound pretty good, but what do you think?

Oliver the Great Western Engine

Summary:
  He is a well known and well liked from fans young and old. He is #11 and one of the originals from Thomas and Friends.
Oliver was introduced in the episode Escape but was made famous in Toad Stands By. (The episode where he destroyed S.C. Ruffey) He was saved from scrap by Douglas and was making waves ever since in the world of T&F. Known as "The Little Western" he has become close to or just as popular as the other Great Western Duck.

Reasons for Production:
  Oliver was saved by Douglas (as mentioned before) but since Donald AND Douglas are being made people will want to buy this trio.
They would also increase the number of SC Ruffey's sold too because they will want that combo.
Oliver is only a 0-4-2 and will be easier to model rather than another tender engine like Hank.
Since he is so well liked many people will buy him to add to the collection.
Since we have skipped #8 to go on to 9 and 10 I say why not try for 8 and make 11 as well.

   He has been featured in multiple episodes such as Gordon take a shortcut but starred in more of his own.
He has been in Oliver's Find, Toad Stands By, Escape, Busy Going Backwards and many more timeless tales

I'm trying to re-create the Diesel Works and was wondering can anyone give advice or help....

Look above! Do you recognize those faces? Older and experienced fans might. These are a few of the originals who don't the deserved amount of screen time...others would be...BoCo, Derek, Daisy, and the narrow gauge engines...yet the list goes on!
I know most of us feel that these engines deserve more screen time! Thomas share screen time! Shouldn't that be a lesson to the kids? SHARING! Anyway this thread is to discuss the "never ending", "never on screen enough engines"! So lets start the discussion with #8! (Duck) Anyone care to share their point of views or opinions on this issue?

                                                               This Thread is to promote Hank and increase his popularity.
    Hello All,
I personally feel Hank is a character with great potential and should be used more by Hit. Now we all may know him as one of those "One-HiT-Wonders", but this character can be used for greater purposes. For example he can be used as a backround character or even star of another episode. He is based off a Pennsylvania K4 and since that is my favorite engine Hank holds a special place in my favorites list. Now just imagine how good it would be to bring back this character. Use him alittle more and he can be a great hit profitably. Now I'm bringing this up here because Bachmann can somewhat easily convert the shell of K4 into a Hank. Now will they? Unlikely. But there is always a chance. Now I'm hoping a HiT rep will read this or something and get alittle attention to Hank but until then thanks for reading and Haters...dont't hate. Plus I plan to due another thread like this only allitle more detailed in the near future...

Now just out of curiosity #475 was the normal engine used in Thomas and the Magic Railroad, right?
(Yes the thread is in larger print but this is a largre deal since I am going to Strasburg tomorrow and I would appreicate if I could get an answer as soon as possible).
+PLUS+ The Strasburg Railroad is a big deal to the Thomas and Friends universe...examples?

#475 was the engine used in TatMR (RIGHT?),
..it has one of the most popular Day Out with Thomas events in the US!
So I feel this great Railroad deserves a Thread...but in this thread we don't have to talk about how it relates to Thomas we can talk about it in general!

               This is a thread where you could talk about any Diesels, Steamies, or Day of the Diesels related ideas. Some of you are probably going say this could easily go this could easily go in the Everything Thomas Thread, but I think with all the ideas, thoughts, and stories that go in the Everything Thomas Thread it would be easier to put it here and it would be more organized.
               So in this thread there will be a decision that all has to make... Are or on theDiesels' side or Steamies' side? I'm on the Diesels' side. Because most of the Steam engines either aren't appearing or have just become bland. The Diesels have Boco, Daisy, and Diesel 10 who I just love as well. And now the Diesels have there own works and sheds thus giving them a little more poularity now. Plus in the real word there are more Diesels then there are Steamies any more. Overall the Diesels are just awesome to me that is why I choose them. But everyone is entitled to their own opinion. So choose.
             Now about the movie....where to start? From the promo's it looks good. It all depends though.... I actually like the whole idea of the Diesel Works and I like a few of the new characters...Den, Dart, Belle (Well Belle because I'm in the junior Fire Department), and Paxton. Even though there are alot of new characters I think a few maybe promising. So I say if there is any disscussion on the matter we put it here. Thank you for posting here.

I remember awhile back I asked about where to order Hornby engines without having to order over seas. I got one good website I think the person said it was in Texas or something but basically all I'm asking for is a link to a website that is US local that sells Hornby models. I don't mean just T&F I mean all kinds.

So say I bought the complete chassis shown here in the link above, would that mean if I put that on a track and gave the track power it would run with out its shell properly?

I remember awhile back on one of the topics the Bach-Man stated that they were trying to get the T&F line for all scales.
Is this still true?

Three quick questions is all I ask.
1) My local hobby shop closed. Is there an address or phone # I can call to send my engine to, to get fixed?
2) If I have an engine and its face plate broken can I buy a new face without the engine(online or offline)?
3) Can you give us the final word of what Bachmann is releasing for this years T&F line?

Diesel 10 is a well known character who many feel deserve a chance.
Character Summary:
First introduced in Thomas and the Magic Railroad Diesel 10 was a force not to be reconded with. He had 2 minions Splatter and Dodge and the most interesting feature..Pinchy. A claw used to destroy, break, or cause any kind of destruction. He was never seen again after he was "defeated" in the broken viaduct accident.....until he re-appeared in Calling All Engines. He went from the bad guy to the hero of the Sodor Airport. He has been making movie appearences ever since. In Misty Island Rescue he seemed to return to the bad guy side nut until the release of Day of the Diesels we will not know Diesel 10's fate.

Appearences:
Thomas and the Magic Railroad, Calling All Engines, The Great Discovery (cameo), Misty Island Rescue, and Day of the Diesels.

Profits:
1) He is very popular with the kids and almost all of the older fans.
2) Bachmann has made his real model, the BR class 42 warship, and it will save money on his model.

I would like to also thank Chaz and Sparks for the help.

Now for my layout....its just starting. 1st) I plan on buying Tidmouth sheds. I don't know if I should I buy 2 expansion packs or enough to fit all my trains in (that would be 8 packs) thus making 12 all together. My idea so far is to get 2 to make 7 sheds for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and Emily. Then buy separate mini sheds (that hold only 1 to 3).
2nd) Should I focus on buying more engines or more rolling stock?
Your opinions would gladly be taken into consideration.
