My GG-1 has ruled out a track issue.

I took the cover off of the rear truck and I still can't find anything wrong.

I got the shell off and became lost as to what to do next.

A recently purchased B30-7 was track tested ad the rear truck seems to derail after the locomotive moves about an inch in either direction. I'm not sure what the problem could be. I know it's not my track though

Related, but is there a certain way to apply the lube?

Is there a recommended EZ-Lube for the Amfleet cars? I got six from the recent run and they gave one of my Walthers F40s a very hard time.

I've been thinking about some new buildings that would fit into the HO Plasticville line recently.

Bank - One was issued way back when, but a new one should be made. Yours was the only one with a drive-thru that I know of.

Bus Station - There is a somewhat new line of HO Scale buses on the market. A new bus station would work well for the line. A prototype for this could be a scaled down version of the Philadelphia Greyhound Terminal.

Coffee Shop/Florist - This is simply a new front and window insert that can be used with the sides and rear from the 5 & 10 Store, Hardware Store/Pharmacy, or Supermarket. There's a few others that could be made using this same setup of a new front with existing wall and roof tooling such as a Dollar Store.

Train Station - I include this as a suggestion for a station with an 18" platform that can hold about three cars. This should also be checked with the height of EZ-Track sections so that there's not a huge gap between the platform and the bottom step of a passenger car.

Problem as described in subject. This is the Phase III model (roadnumber 974, item 65503) from about 10 years ago. I'll have had it for about 8 years next month.

And what a bad time for this engine to act up, I was thinking about buying a second E60 or a GG-1. Now, I'm thinking the Proto Metroliner might be a better fit for my railroad.

Mine is now doing the exact same thing and it's overloading the power pack. I have no idea what's wrong with it. I've had it for a number of years.

Ken, hes talking about the Road names, you put Penn Central, C&O and SCL on the west coast and UP ATSF etc on the East Coast......

and yes Ripvan he switched em by accident.

I gave examples of how Amtrak mixed up which railroad's cars went where. Many UP sleepers found their way to Sunnyside Yard during the Rainbow Era.

Like this JW Riley with a B&O E leading UP cars.

And if going for Amtrak, don't be afraid to have cars from outside your prototype area appear. If modeling the west, Penn Central, C&O, and SCL cars would be mixed into consists while on the east you'd have UP, GN, NP, ATSF, BN, MILW (in UP colors), Mopac, and SP cars mixed into the consists.

It also depends on window tint if it's even worth putting passengers in the cars. Walthers as of late has been tinting windows on their passenger cars and Chicago area commuter cars for some reason had a green window tint.

It depends on the area the train is serving. Some trains were still multiple E units with long trains while other trains were a GP7 or GP9 (possibly an E unit or RS-3) hauling a short train. Some areas still had RDCs in service on trains. Commuter trains in parts of New Jersey and Chicago were fitted to run in either direction without turning the entire train. The Chicago cars are easy to find while the New Jersey cars (and locos) are long out of production.

A 22" is good with the full-size passenger cars. I run 22"s with my mostly Walthers Amtrak fleet that includes Amfleet, Heritage, Horizon, and Superliner cars with no problems and the Superliners basically have the stock couplers on them.
